The hook is fully enclosed, locking on to the D-loop, with an easily accessible quick release button to open the jaw without needing to fire the release. The biggest distinction between the PPT and any other resistance activated release on the market is the use of magnetic tension control to set the desired tension needed for the release to fire. The PPT has an adjustable range of tension from 6-20 lbs., sufficient for all ages and ranges of archers.
